Common House Fly
Flies
feed by vomiting saliva on to food, treading it in and sucking up
the liquid created. By doing this, the food is contaminated with bacteria
from the fly’s stomach and feet. This may pass on food poisoning,
dysentery, typhoid or cholera. The flies may also carry the eggs of
parasitic worms.
Control:
You can control the flies through good hygiene, keeping food sealed
and protected.
There are various suitable insecticide treatments that can be used
to compliment a thorough hygiene regime where foods are prepared and
stored for human consumption.
